1 Lee Jane Lee Judith Sharp TDMV 1 TuTh 8:30-9:50am 1 June 2010 “Rhapsody in Blue” Critique On May 15, 2010, I attended Jean Isaacs San Diego Dance Theater’s “Rhapsody in Blue” at Don Powell Theater in San Diego State University. I was originally going to attend the Chopin Tribute, but I was not available that weekend. So, I decided to attend this contemporary ballet performance instead. I really had no idea what to expect, but I knew that it would be very different from a classical ballet performance. I missed the first half of the show trying to find parking. It is quite difficult to navigate through college campuses, especially when it is at night! However, I was lucky enough to see the last half of the show. The first performance I saw was “Battle Remembered”. This was a slow but delightful piece in which the dancers were very expressive in their movements. The fluidity of their movements added even more to the performance. The next performance was “Easter Oratario”,
