JOUNRAL ENTERY OF A SUBORDINATE GROUP 2 Jounral Entery of a Subordinate Group For my journal entry of a subordinate group, I plan on giving you a little information on Italian Americas. Italian Americans had started to migrate to America from 1876 to 1924 throughout those years a total of 4.5 million came over from 1901 to 1910 2 million people had came over to this country. As I have been doing a little research on Italian Americans, I had learned that my family had migrated to this country back in 1880 with Great Grandmother Margaret Pascocello, when they had migrated over here they decided to reside in Manhattan for 30 years before moving to Staten Island, New York. The trip from Italy to America had taken 36 days Margaret had taken the trip with one of her daughters that ended up passing a way a day after they made the trip to America. One of Margaret’s biggest memories over the years before passing away at103 years of age was attending the opening Brooklyn Bridge in 1883 and reminding a relative about 50
