To date, it is the world’s largest online retailer and prominent cloud servicer (Amazon, 2020). Amazon continues to grow on a yearly bases, finding more inventive ways to grow and reach more people. Amazon stock figures for 2019 show them closing out on a stronger note. With an overall increase of 20% from 2018 (Amazon, 2020). In previous years Amazon struggled in even obtaining regular profit figures to report and in 2019 that changed as they rose to a record of $11.6 billion in profit (Amazon, 2020). The following graphical representations will be able to provide some insight to the trends of the 2019 market for Amazon. Through understanding the graphical representations, the movement of the market over time, the mean, median mode and standard deviation and volatilityof the market, this will allow to better identify and understand the directions the company shouldconsidering moving, The graphs will also allow the business to see the 2019 trends, and assist in making future business decisions based on previous trends in the market. Working in the field of Business, especially focusing on finances, it is important for analytic techniques to be applied and utilized. In doing so, you have the ability to add meaning tothe data obtained for future, use, projection in growth, and forecasting future revenue opportunities. The above graph describes the relationship between two variables which are they y-axis that represents the highest stock prices (in U.S. dollars) also known as the dependent variable and the x-axis which is the independent variable representing the occurrencesof closing prices throughout the year (Microsoft. (n.d.). The above scatterplot is linear with the highest stock price showing a steady, but positive relationship with the amount of occurrences in 2019. The highest stock price for Amazon in 2019 increased in value and finished strong with a significant increase. There are no identifiable outliers (Lind, Marchal & Wathen, 2019).0
