Alizabeth Madison SC140 Lab #1 Lab Report Statement of Purpose: The purpose of the lab activity was to take measurements of position, velocity, acceleration, and time. Then once those measurements were taken we needed to graph the changes. Once both were completed we were to make connections between the basic kinematics quantities that we had measured. Description of Procedures: We were to write down multiple instances of three different measurements. Measurement number one was a base line measurement. In this instance, we took an aluminum track and laid it flat and level. Then we launched the cart and measured its position on the track at several points in time. Once the measurements were written down, we were to describe the cart’s motion. Then we were to graph the position of the cart as a function of time. Measurement number two was a height difference measurement. We raised the aluminum track with a spiral notebook, and one of our textbooks. Then we were to place the cart at the top of the track and allow it to roll down the track with no launching. We
