(Subject: EC640) E-mail: kpang@wlu.ca URL: https://mylearningspace.wlu.ca Course Objective: This course introduces students to modern macroeconomic theory, with a particular focus on dynamic general equilibrium models. We start by learning the basic concepts and structures underlying these models. Then, we apply the framework to the study of consumption, saving, production, investment, money, credit, growth, and policies. Course Requirements: Problem Sets 15% Midterm Exam 30% Final Exam 55% Students are encouraged to work in study groups of two or three members. However, every student is required to hand in an individual copy of each problem set. Late submission will not be accepted and there is no make-up assignment . 1

Students who miss the midterm exam for a valid reason will have the weight transferred to the final exam. There is no deferred midterm . The final exam will be cumulative . The SBE petitions process deals with any issues around the deferral of the final examination. Accessible Learning
