ECO 202, Lyons Fall 2010 STUDY GUIDE FOR THE SECOND QUIZ: November 11th, in class About 40 minutes I. There will be two parts: part I will contain 10–14 multiple choice or other short-answer questions; part II will require one response to a choice of two essay/problem-type questions. Even though numerical problems will involve relatively easy calculations, you may find a calculator will be useful. II. Coverage Classroom materials inclusive, from after the midterm through November 9th. Text , chapters 9, 10 and chapter 11 up to and including page 322 Readings: 7, on how to define a recession and 8 on ending recessions; reading 9 on housing wealth. III. Study hints a) PRACTICE! ! ! In particular, talk things over with your study/problem set partner(s). Other advice as on the first study guide. b) In order to be able to state your explanations clearly, you must be sure of the definitions of economic concepts and their properties: for example, •bonds: relation between present and future values
