So What’s Up This Week……….13 Chapter 24 Social order and control. Political systems. You will need to have a complete understanding of the chart on page 425…..please recognize the relationships between population levels, the relative need for social control, and the types of political structures. Make sure that you understand the types of organizations (band, tribe, chiefdom, state) and their relative leadership structure. Keep in mind that to some of the groups you saw in your films that the ‘national’ political structure, and their relative engagement in it, may not make any sense to these peoples in relative terms. Inheritance of positions of political power are common, and may not always be seen as social inequality. Supernatural power and political power are often integrated, It is common for inherited leadership to either be approved the supernatural powers or that the leaders may be supernatural beings themselves.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
