This paper will continue to describe my difficulties implementing a strategic change with the re-alignment of my Platoon from 2 squad of to 3 squads. In order to correct discipline issues and arrange a better Soldier to leader ratio I ordered a re- alignment of Soldier creating a third squad only to be further complicated with a greater frequency of intensified discipline issues and overall resistance to the change I ordered. I feel after reading the assigned text on vision that a great deal of the challenges I faced could have been attributed to a lack of vision on my part. As it is stated in the text “it is imperative that change is aligned with a clear vision” . I implemented the realignment change using a director image and Table 9.1 on page 251 illustrates clearly that “vision drives change”, and that the “clear vision needs to be aligned with mission and goals” . The text also expresses the importance of a vision when it states that a “vision provides clarity about the goals in introducing a change” and that “without a vision, changes
