11. What is an amygdala hijack? a. The sensory organs pick up things going on around you (stimulus), then we tell ourselves a story about what we saw which leads to emotions which leads to our action. If the emotion is negative, the amygdale hijack kicks in; we are overcome by emotion which leads to unclear thinking.
