Course Objectives: This course is designed to provide students exposure to financial accounting concepts. The primary focus of the course is on financial reporting concepts, the accounting information generating process, reporting practices, financial statement preparation and the interpretation and analysis of financial statements. The course covers the basic accounting principles and concepts, the accounting cycle, income measurement, and internal controls. Specific chapter objectives are available in the respective chapter PowerPoint slides posted to Blackboard Vista.
