COURSE OBJECTIVE The objective of this course is to introduce you to topics involved in personal financial planning and the tools and techniques used to address specific financial needs. In addition, I hope to relate the course material from a real world perspective with the hope of covering topics that will benefit you personally as you begin your careers. COURSE REQUIREMENTS Textbook/Calculator There is no textbook for this course. The course pack is available for download under “Important Course Documents” on the Moodle main page. A financial calculator with the ability to handle cash flows, annuities, IRR, etc. is necessary to complete some problems in the course. I recommend and will use the Hewlett Packard 10BII. If you are comfortable with another brand of financial calculator, feel free to use it. Once you log in to MediaSite using your Unity ID and password, you can click on and download the lectures to your computer.
