Species whose population levels are low are considered as threatened. Endemic species are a population native to the area. Invasive species are foreign and usually cause a disruption in the natural habitat. Endangered species is defined as a species which is in danger of being extinct. Background extinction happens over long periods of time when species naturally die out. Mass extinction is the rapid decrease in the population of a species. Slide three: My management sustainment plan was created to improve conditions of “threatened” species and therefore, increasing their population. The ongoing process will take ap- proximately two years to develop. Information will be gathered documenting any en- dangered animals in a given area.
