Unformatted text preview: Principles of NCLB UOP Axia College AED 222 Instructor: Karalee Hoge Cynthia Collins The ideas behind the NCLB act are both good and bad when teaching students with differences in learning styles. Students do not all respond the same to the NCLB methodology. One idea is that the teachers should take very seriously the responsibility for the students’ achievement. As such teachers need to define achievement milestones and methods to continue to move students from milestone to the next. This helps with the defined metric system to evaluate student achievement. When a metric is not met, everyone is involved and made aware. This gives the teachers the incentive to work harder to help get students up to educational standards. This is a plus for the students, in helping not letting them fall between the cracks. However this could have detrimental effects as well.
