Lesson Plan: Flying Disc Golf, Grade 4 1. Objective : By the end of the class, students should be able to successfully throw their disc into the hoop. 2. Motivation: Students will be practicing the following skills: Throwing a disc accurately Throwing a disc far Following directions Use of disc golf terminology 3. Skill Analysis: a. Hold the disc flat i. If it is tilted it will turn that direction b. When throwing keep your wrist straight, use your arm to direct the disc c. Throwing a disc into a hoop i. d. See how far away you can accurately get the disc into the hoop e. See how far you can throw the disc regardless of accuracy 4. Organization: In a class of 24, students will pick their own partner. Class will take place outside in a large area, groups are responsible for being aware of their own space and where others are 5. Activities: See above 6. Feedback and Evaluation: Key words: a. Fore: a warning word yelled when a disc is coming towards others
