Spring 2012 Dear Parent/Guardian: My name is Elizabeth Spartas. I am currently an Elementary Education major at Whitworth University, with minors in Spanish and English Language Learner’s. All my life I have worked with children, starting with babysitting and moving on to working with children within the school setting. During my freshman year of college it dawned on me, I was meant to be an elementary school teacher. Children have always been an important part of my life and I enjoy working with them; but more than that I want a career that allows me to have a positive impact. I cannot imagine a better career than this, one that allows me to make a difference in the lives of children. Not only that, but I have no doubt my students will teach me some highly important and valuable lessons. My field work experience will conclude with the delivery of a language arts unit that I have
