LESSON PLAN #1 Title: Bee, Bee, Bumble Bee Arr. Elizabeth Spartas Grade: 2 Key Concept/Skill: Students will demonstrate knowledge of beat and tempo Objectives: 1. 2. Students will analyze whether a tempo is faster or slower (analysis) 3. Students will keep beat to a song while picking up the tempo (application, synthesis) Materials: Knowledge of the song ‘Bee, Bee, Bumble Bee’ Anticipatory Set: Ask the students if they have ever heard the song ‘Bee, Bee, Bumble Bee.” Tell them that today they will learn a game that goes with the song as you review beat and tempo Teaching Process: 1. The teacher sings through the song once while clapping the beat of the song as students follow with the words (either written on the board or on a printed sheet of paper) 2. The teacher sings through the song a few more times while the class claps the beat and sings along (words should be written on the board ahead of time). 3.
