EDU 340 Scope and Sequence Chart Day EALRs Materials Concept/Topic Activities Evaluation 1 Intro Introduce narratives by reading a story to the kids, discuss the writing process in the context of that story Pretest for the students to see what it is that they know about the writing process 2 Prewriting Remind the students of the story. They will be writing their own story. Introduce prewriting and start on it Exit slip. Students will turn in the start of their prewriting at the end of the day (to be kept in “writing notebook”) 3 Prewriting Quick review of prewriting. Students really dig in today. They must have finished this portion by the end of the day Students turn in prewriting at the end of the day 4 Drafting Lesson on drafting. Students begin to draft their stories Students turn in draft at the end of the day. Exit slip. 5 Drafting Students turn in
