Video Transcript from the E-Harmony case video from the Small Business School /PBS in Unit 6: Interviewer/Announcer: Hi, I’m Hattie Bryant. Since 1994 entrepreneurs have been launching Internet cased companies and so many have met with such huge failure. Billions of dollars [U.S.] have been lost and personal fortunes wiped out because it was not the right idea at the right time, in the right place. For this reason we have never told the story of a pure “dot.com” play because we only look at companies that have created jobs for a decade, are the best in their industry, and loved in their community. Finally we found a “dot.com” that began as brick and mortar business and is now extending its valuable intellectual property to reach billions of people. The divorce rate in the United States is over 50%. [Those in living in the United States] are all impacted by it. Many of us have been through a divorce. It is not good for anyone; not the families, not the couple, not for society or our businesses. We all lose. We will take you now inside a company that decided its goal is to literally change the world for the better. This bride met this groom on e-harmony.com:
