Hannah Darphin Kin 2577 Interview Write-up *The actually interviewees name was changed to James in this paper for confidentiality purposes. I interviewed a physical education teacher, James*, at Pecan Park Elementary school in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. He is a young teacher who is currently on his third year of teaching. He also coaches the high school cross-country team and helps to coach the middle school basketball team. When teaching physical education classes James, estimates he has around 5-9 misbehavior incidents each class. He reports that the majority of the misbehavior incidents would fall under the mild category. Students he teach are young, have a short attention span and often display off-task behavior like talking out of turn or not following instructions. James does regularly encounter a severe misbehavior in the form of competitive bullying. The students often vary greatly in athletic skills. The more athletic students will get mad at those who play poorly and cause their team to lose a game. I think James could decrease this behavior by planning
