Cloning by Vonnie Goodloe Mary Nipp ENG101 October 16, 2011 Vonnie Goodloe Mary Nipp ENG 101 16 October 2011 You have a young child. Your child has been diagnosed with a very rare and incurable disease. You have been told that your child will not make it past their 10 th birthday. What does a parent do? What if there was a very controversial experimental procedure that may help your child? This procedure is not available in the United States because of the moral and ethical borders that it crosses. Most parents would do just about anything, and travel just about anywhere if there was the hope of curing their sick child. This is the hope that comes with stem cell research and therapeutic cloning. Continued progress in stem cell research and therapeutic cloning will eventually save thousands upon thousands of lives and improve the quality of life for many living with ailments and diseases.
