Dear Ms. Kim Pynes, Thank you so much for your kind gift. I know it is often a difficult  process choosing who to give this money to and I greatly appreciate that  you have chosen me. I know the PTA continuously strives to help our  school and everyone in it – it truly is an organization built on compassion,  hard work, and excellence. When I was applying to the LEF, I was very discouraged. My  senior year had already started passing me by and despite applying to  every single scholarship I could find, I had received no money. As a girl  who was already greatly intimidated and overwhelmed with the college  admissions process and all that it encompasses, I began to fear that no  matter what, all my hard work (including being the LHS salutatorian)  couldn’t be rewarded into something I needed so much.  It makes me so happy to know that there are still organizations that  are willing to give money to those that are deserving. Since I consider this
