Zixuan Li Reading notes for Code of Ethics of the American Anthropological Association To make sure the ethics in anthropological work, the Cod of American was generated by American Anthropological Association. This code provides principles and guidelines for anthropologists to develop and maintain an ethical framework for all anthropological work. The purpose of this code is to provide AAA members a tool and other interested people a tool to make ethically responsible choices to people, species, and animals being studied and people with whom they work, scholarship and science, public, students in their anthropological work. In order to maintain the integrity of this responsibility the need of seeking knowledge and the ongoing research projects can be superseded. I find it interesting that unlike many people think that anthropologists are the people who live in the ivory tower paying exclusively attention to their subjects and do not need to be engaged with secular issue, they have to be alert in their working.
