Unformatted text preview: Recap of Gladstein Invitational By Christopher Webb IU’s track and field squad wrapped up the two day Gladstien Invitational meet, winning 19 events as well as earning five of the top nine performances on the national list. The IU men performances gain national attention with sophomore runner Andy Bayer, recording the world fastest time in the 3000-meters race at 7:48.35 and closely by IU teammate junior Andrew Poore at 7:55.54, good for the second fastest in the world. “It is always cool to have teammates in the top 10,” Bayer Said “It just goes to show, that all the work we put in to pushing each other, is paying off and it’s showing how solid of a team we are.” Poore, who humbly congratulated his teammate despite coming in second, feels that he will have his time but it was just his (Andy Bayer’s) day. “Andy (Bayer) is a one of a kind talent,” Said Poore “I will not only g Poore believes that adjusting to the track and field season after both of the runners ran for the IU...
