Unformatted text preview: ExtraCredit Assignment 1.0 Introduction: You will implement the Bookmarks feature for the multiprocess web browser that you created as part of the main assignment. To implement this feature you will make use of shared memory form of IPC. 2.0 Functionality: Bookmark menu appears in each of the URLRENDERING tabs. Bookmark menu has two submenus: 1. Bookmark this page: Selecting this submenu, bookmarks the webpage currently being rendered on the URLRENDERING tab. 2. List of bookmarked webpages : Selecting any of the URIs listed here renders the selected URI on the URLRENDERING tab. 3.0 Details: In order to implement this feature, you will make use of shared memory. You will write the code for the ROUTER process (refer problem description for assignment 2) to create a shared memory segment which all its children viz., CONTROLLER and URLRENDERING processes share.
