Discussion 2: Nutrition in College

Last week we learned some introductory nutrition information and as we
continue in this course, we will learn how nutrition applies to athletes and
exercisers. To get you to start thinking about how important nutrition is to
athletes, let's discuss nutrition at the college athlete level. First,

In what ways are colleges trying to provide proper nutrition to their
athletes, despite the distant learning occurring? Do you think this is
helpful for the athletes? Why or why not?

In a time like this, with so many colleges losing so much money, should
they still be spending money on their athletes' nutritional needs? Why or
