Learning outcomes: The course is aimed to be an introduction to the main topics in international macroeconomics, while giving students a broad approach to modern open economy macroeconomics. In this course, we will cover concepts and core principles on the determination of current accounts, exchange rate theory and evidence and macroeconomic policy in open economies. We will discuss some basic theories that have been developed to understand these issues, review related empirical evidence, and identify implications for public policy. Reading Material:
