Unformatted text preview: BIS2C major plant concepts for final • ABC model o Given a pattern of floral organs, what is the predicted pattern of gene expression? o Given a pattern of gene expression what would you predict the flower to look like o With changes are thought to have occurred to the ABC model and floral organ patterns during evolution of the angiosperms. • Plant tree of life o Know the tree at the level of: Liverworts, mosses, hornworts, lycophytes, monilophytes/pteridiphytes, angiosperms, gymnosperms. Angiosperms clades at the level of monocots, eudicots, basal angiosperms (not the individual basal clades, just that they exist). Know the names of the 4 gymnosperm clades o Know what the following characters are, where they are on the tree of life, and where relevant, how they change over the tree of life.
