Spec 20 Lab Report By: Deepika Mukhara Dr. Del Cerro 2 nd period Experimental Design In purpose of this experiment is to compare the absorbance peaks spinach leaves when it is exposed to different lights. In this experiment, we used increments of wavelengths from 350 to 700 at intervals of 25. There are a total of six trials, per level of wavelength. This experiment was performed with the spectrophotometer, which was used to help measure the absorbance and transmittance of the spinach extract sample. The method of measurement was the creation of spectral waves showing absorbance peak patterns for spinach leaves extract. There were several

constants in this experiment. These constants are the extraction solvent type (distilled water), the extraction (soak) time (48 hours), the spinach leaves, the total volume of liquid in cuvettes (5mL), and the volume of plant extract in the cuvettes (20 drops). This experimental procedure is an effective way to compare the absorbance of spinach to different wavelengths.
