Many of the members with in my community are the same race as I am, white Americans, with a small mixture of other races including; Mexican Americans, Russian Americans, Asian Americans, and African Americans. Within the community most look like me, white American, and besides Mexican Americans we are the most dominate amount of races. I live in Tacoma Washington which is about 35 miles south of the major city of Seattle. When it comes to my extended community including the major city to the north it turns into a much more diverse community which includes a larger number of the “minorities”. According to the 2000 U.S. census in Seattle Washington the population of White Americans is 394,880 or 70.1% of the population, and 81.8% total in Washington State as a whole. My biggest problem with being able to write about the community is that I do not go out into the community. I personally do not see many people besides those who live in my own house and because of this reason I really do not know much about how people are outside of my own yard.
