The main idea behind casual research is some type of experiment to determine the cause and effect. I would use the casual research based upon what data I gained from the descriptive research. Some of the questions I would ask are the amount of marketing dollars virus the amount of dollars spent on product production. Another question is products image virus the quality of the candy due to the short life of the candy.
