SURVEY TO FIND THE ACCESSIBILITY AND THE AWARNESS OF MINORITY WOMEN TOWARDS THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM Women forms about half of U.S. population. Women’s health needs changes as they age. Over the period of time they reflect changing health needs which can be seen by the shift from reproductive health care when young to emergence of chronic illness in middle years. In U.S health care system is for profit with access to high quality care related to ability to pay for the services. The issue of accessibility and affordability is of prime importance for the women, who must often negotiate care not only for themselves but also for children, spouses, ailing parents etc. Minority women continue to fare worse than white in terms of their health status, mortality etc. The aim of the survey is to provide women’s perspective to the accessibility of the health care services considering all the barriers i.e. language barrier, insurance coverage, transportation, ethnicity. There are ever growing gap in the health care system that needs to be filled. Research plan:
