Leading 92.45% of sample exhibited use of at least one of the available OTC medications and a 58.22% of sample opted for prescription drugs whereas 52.8% opted for natural/herbal products. Significant differences (t=0.88, p=0.003) were found between males and females with respect to only PCS score. CONCLUSION: Web TV is an effective survey administration tool to measure health status, very high response rates and fewer missing values were obtained. Elderly persons used OTC medications and prescription drugs to a greater extent than herbal and natural products. Joint replacement surgery was the most common surgical intervention performed and Arthroscopy was the leading choice for surgery being considered in the future.
