The temperature is controlled using Velleman’s K8055 USB experimental kit, which has an 8 bit analog-to-digital converter to transform the output from the sensor into a digital form. The user can set the desired temperature to a certain value using a friendly computer interface attached to the experimental kit. The temperature is then corrected until it matches the user selected level. 3 Introduction Temperature control is a common electronics process found in several applications. Besides being used in industrial installations and machines, temperature control systems can be found in many types of devices and appliances that make our life more convenient and comfortable. For example, temperature control systems are used in setting and establishing the desired temperature levels in our homes using an air conditioner, or even monitoring the temperature of a chemical plant where steady temperature is paramount for full functionality as well as safety....
