Famous Labels POLICY AND PROCEDURE  October 13, 2006 To:  All Stores From:  Matty Dishman RE:    Policy  and Procedure for  Receiving Shipment Tab under:  Receiving Shipments and Stock  Initiate:  Immediately  POLICY –Receiving Shipment :    All shipments being RECEIVED MUST be accepted and taken in  by  the receiving staff of the store in a timely manner. Boxes/Pallets must be counted, inspected,  documented and signed for as designated in the procedure agenda.  Open Stock must then be  counted, processed inventoried and displayed on the sales floor within 72 hours of receiving  (unless otherwise approved) Failure to comply with this Policy will be grounds for corrective  actions and/or Terminations PROCEDURE for RECEIVING IN SHIPMENTS 1. Receiving Staff MUST count the Boxes against the Total # on the BOL (Bill of Lading).  (If the driver must wait inform him that YOU are doing your job.  If he’s in a hurry that’s not our problem or  concern, but shortages and damages are.  2.
