The common points between virtual circuit switching and circuit switching: Firstly, virtual circuit switching and circuit switching are all have a pre-established path, and all the data or packet are sent along it. Secondly, they are all guaranteed in-sequence of deliver of all data or packet. The common points between virtual circuit switching and datagram switching: Firstly, virtual circuit switching and datagram switching all separate the data into packets. And each packet header must have the full address to the final destination. Secondly, packets form different virtual circuits may be interleaved. 2. Advantage: (1) It allows independent of each other between the layers, a layer can use the services that the under layer provided without the need to know how to achieve it.
