How does Heidegger’s philosophy relate to the Newtonian-Galilean Weltanschauung? It is against the NGW and operates outside of Western Thought. His philosophy is the characteristics of human way of being from other things, and it influenced human science and was the antithesis of the NGW. The concept in Heidegger of “being-with” People by nature, are already in relationship to one another. Even fleeing from people is a relationship toward people, meaning you are avoidant of people. The concept in Heidegger of “falling” Being one’s own unique identity and fitting in society’s expectations and leavings one’s own authentic self behind. We fall into society and conform; therefore our original authentic self is lost! Heidegger’s joining in with the Nazis Heidegger had some serious questions of his own being as a child and he got wrapped up in the quest for his country Germany finding its own “being” or place in the world. The concept in Heidegger of “Being-in-the-world” We always take up a relationship toward the world. Latent Content of Dreams – The hidden content of dreams; that of which is not apparent in the meaning of the dream; all the things that stir within us when we sleep and threaten the sleeping state, they want to be expressed and they are censored Dreamwork – heart of Freudian dream theory and important concept; the work that is performed upon the psychic stimuli that arise during sleep that create the dream that we have and then remember when we wake up, a set of operations that perform upon disturbing psychological material, feeling, memories, and anxieties that appear during dreams. Dreams are generated to protect sleep and the “Dreamwork” is what is done with those things.
