Emily Leung College Writing 112 February 11 th , 2010 Marissa Carrere The Way I See It… Hot pink; square rounded, and rhinestone encrusted Valentino glasses is the newest pair of glasses added to my growing collection of glasses. These glasses are not only essential for my vision or to my everyday life, but they describe my personality and lifestyle as an eighteen- year old teenager. Every characteristic of my glasses somehow relate to a characteristic of my personality and to who I am as a person. From the color to the shape or to the designer, it represents myself and what kind of person I am. Along with representation through this object, my glasses are also essential to how I perceive the world as a whole from day to day. This perception ultimately shapes my life. These glasses are significant because they allow me to see things clearly, and they embark on all of my adventures. All of the adventures that I have been through with these glasses also describe who I am, since these adventures vary from all different kinds of adventures. The very first adventure I had with these glasses would be the day that I saw them, and bought them. The first time I saw my current glasses would be over winter break of this school year when I was on vacation in China. I was in the city of Guangzhou and it was my mother, sister, and some family friends going to the glasses store. At first glance, the glasses
