Effective telecommuting training programs involve teaching a variety of skills and knowledge that are not needed in a normal work environment. The training program should include all that are involved; at least management and teleworkers. Managers and teleworkers should have separate programs that focus on the aspects of the telecommunications process related to them. Managers and teleworkers should know how to communicate effectively because communication is a key aspect to an effective telecommunications program. Also they should be told why the company uses telecommunications so they have an understanding of their purpose. Telecommuters have to learn the differences between a normal work environment and a telecommuting environment. They should learn how to use the new technology, how to set up an office, how to make a proper work schedule, and how to share a space with many purposes. There are several ways to implement a training program for telecommuting.
