Flow Chart Start: 1. Null Hypothesis: Metabolic rates of goldfish, as measured by oxygen consumption, do not differ in the presence of extra light. 2. Collect 4 fish 3. Weigh 2 Fish 4. Replace distilled water with 200 mL of fish water to chamber 5. Add fish and 200 mL of fish water to oxygen chamber and allow them to acclimate for 2 minutes (practice data collection) 6. Collect oxygen concentration data every 20 seconds for 10 minutes (observe fish activity) 7. Record raw data and regression data (excel sheet, graph, equation, print) 8. Switch out 200 mL of fish water 9. Turn on light and shine it at the chamber 10. Allow fish to acclimate for 2 minutes 11. Collect oxygen concentration data every 20 seconds for 10 minutes (observe fish activity) 12. Record raw data and regression data (excel sheet, graph, equation, print) 13. Remove fish and return them to the fish tank 14. Rinse oxygen chamber with distilled water 15. Weigh the other two fish 16. Replace distilled water with 200 mL of fish water to oxygen chamber
