Did the G20 Summit accomplish any of its goals Today I will be answering the question, Did the G20 Summit accomplish any of its goals. My answer is a definitive no. we will be analyzing this question through three main points. First we will address the g20 summit’s utter lack of concrete policy. Second we will look at its failure in establishing currency agreements between china and the us. Finally we will look at its failure in finalizing freetrade agreements between the US and south korea. With the unemployment rate in the united states at a staggering 9.10% as of septermber 2011, according to bbc news, the G20 summit provided the perfect forum for the leaders of the top economies to solve the economic problems that have plagued not only the US but the entire world. However with the dismal results that came from the G20 summit in Seoul, Korea, it is clear that there needs to be a different forum of economic discussion for any tangible international progress.
