Red Tides Thesis statement: To inform my audience about 1) What causes Red Tides 2) The negative effects of Red Tides. Introduction I. Imagine your self going on a vacation somewhere near the coast. To enjoy the beautiful sunny day you decide to hit the beach, as you drive closer to the beach your allergies start acting up, you start coughing and sneezing, not letting this ruin your day you park somewhere and make your way to the beach. As you get there you notice that no one else is there but, hundreds maybe even thousands of dead fish on the shore. Being very disappointed and puzzled you hurry back to you car and start driving back to your hotel thinking of what you were going to do now and that is when you hear over the radio that the mayor had declared a state of emergency. II. The cause of all this is a Red Tide. III. Recently in my biology class the professor gave a glimpse of what a Red Tide is and got me interested in the topic. IV. Today I am going to inform about 1) What causes Red Tides 2) The negative effects of Red Tides. Body
