10 Steps in Preparing an “Automatic” Presentation (v2010): (10/11/2010) 1. Gather your presentation pictures and music (mp3 or wav) files into a project folder. Sources: a. Internet: Church Website (e.g. Temples, Church History, Religious), Google images, etc. b. Digital Cameras, scan normal photos, digital snapshots of “pictures”; “ripping software,” etc. 2. Prepare Pictures (Editing) a. Crop, Rotate, Brightness, Contrast, Erase/Fill 3. Play sound file – make written notes of timings for specific planned pictures. 4. Preface the picture titles with a sequential number (optional) – calculate position based on time allocated per slide. Numbering will make it easy to “load” the pictures into the slide show. 5. Set up start of presentation: a. First slide is blank slide, for “non-distractive waiting.” Allows presentation to be set up and ready to go without being a distraction to prior aspects of the meeting. b.
