My personal goal is for you to understand how biology applies to you in personal, social, and ecological issues. Whether you are at school, work, in your community, I hope that you understand the basic biology that underpins in order to make well-informed decisions. Course Learning Outcomes Demonstrate a basic understanding of biological concepts Use biological knowledge to enhance your personal life Increase your appreciation for the wonder of life Course Text: Biology: Science for Life Collen Belk and Virginia Borden Class Structure Assessment 1. Exams. There will be three main exams, each worth 50 points. Tests will be comprised of multiple choice and short answer questions. The first two tests will be in the testing
