Emily Leung Weekly Journal #8 March 31 st , 2011 TA: Peter Kaminski Lectures this week was interesting and full of new content learned. On Monday, Professor Gerber played the informative documentary “The Inconvenient Truth”. After watching a part of this documentary I thought it was very relevant to topics that the class has discussed before. The topic covered, global warming, was portrayed in a very effective manner by having Al Gore discuss how the world is heating up. The campaign to bring awareness to people around the nation about the climate change relates to prior weeks when we discussed global warming. On Wednesday, we had a speaker discuss about contraception. This is also another topic we have briefly discussed in prior weeks as well. I thought Wednesday’s lecture was informative and presented in a graceful manner. Learning about female condoms and using proper protection relay information learned from this week’s readings. In the reading, “Our Body, Ourselves” it discusses the different types of sex (intercourse, oral sex, and etc.) that is susceptible to sexually
