Problem 1 (25 Points): As you know, a counter is a state machine. Consider the state transition diagrams shown below. These correspond to a pair of cascaded counters. Before beginning this problem, think about the behavior and interactions of these counters. a) Draw the schematic of the first counter using toggle cells (AND, OR, NOR, NOT, NAND). Assume that the external inputs are CE (count enable) and CLR . b) Draw the schematic of the second counter using toggle cells and basic (AND, OR, NOR, NOT, NAND). Assume that the external inputs are CE (count enable) and CLR . c) Connect the counters together showing the interaction.
