Nutrient Cycles-Water Cycle 18:43 Water Cycle Solar Energy evaporates liquid water, condenses water vapor in clouds, and precipitates  water over land and ocean. Precipitation over land causes evapo-transpiration from the land- water transpired by  plants and evaporated  from a landscape. Transpiration by plants moves water into the atmosphere where solar energy evaporates  it up where it becomes water vapor in the clouds Water percolates through soil and becomes runoff and groundwater which goes to  oceans. Here it is evaporated.
