Dorfman Pacific was an expanding business that stumbled upon a problem that most businesses would like to have. They had more business than their operation could handle, as they were using outdated business practices for large business companies. To solve this problem first we have to identify it in order to come to a solution. Since Dorfman added large customers like Wal-Mart and JC Penny, their paper based warehouse system caused employees to work inefficiently with errors in their work. This became more evident during peak seasons when sales would increase and the company had to hire extra workers and pay overtime to handle the work load in a paper driven warehouse. Some solutions that could help fix or alleviate Dorfman Pacific’s warehouse issues could be to have a better filing system and product tag and classification system. Currently product tags are handwritten on bins that could contain several products. This causes employees to pick
