The American Red Cross is the organization that is under scrutiny. The activity under question will be there programs and services during FY 2005 thru 2006 with input from their financial statements. This is a tough module to try to fudge number because Red Cross funding comes from several sources; contributions, revenues from products and services and other investments. To pinpoint the program or division which funds are allocated to will be the biomedical service. The common cost or joint cost associated with this program could be a result from research and development, which is expenditure, for example, the salary of the researcher would create cost that must be distributed across several departments. In fiscal year 2005, approximately $2.1 million dollars was part of the biomedical program and an additional $150 thousand for program materials.
