Introduction to Classical Archaeology Writing Assignment Compose a brief essay (2-4 pages in total length, double spaced in a font no larger than 12) in response to one of the following prompts: The assignment is due on April 15. You have two weeks from today to complete the assignment. 1. What would you steal? Go to one of the regional museums that displays materials related to the topics discussed in this class (Smith College Art Museum, Amherst College Art Museum are good potential places – if you’re feeling adventurous, you could go to the Worcester Museum of Art, The NYC Metropolitan Museum of Art or the Museum of Fine Arts Boston). Select from those collections an object on display relevant to the issues and topics discussed in class. For example, you may choose an example of Attic Black figure pottery from the Smith College collection.
