Good and bad actions result in the same type of consequences. The book states that karma is individual in nature because the link between actions and consequences is not a function of the sins of the father. BUT not all Hindus see it this way Relevant Cultural Values Karma is connected to a belief in reincarnation because todays experiences may be a result of past actions in this life or in the previous one. Western ethnocentrism can lead us to see karma as a fatalistic worldview but it also allows for empowerment because you can improve your situation by doing good.
